Equal Opportunities Policy

At PuliKidz, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all children in our out-of-school and holiday clubs. We believe in celebrating diversity and providing every child with the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their socioeconomic background, race, religion, special educational needs (SEN), or gender. Every child is valued for their unique individuality.

To uphold this commitment, we implement the following practices in our admissions process:

  • Promoting awareness of our club throughout the community.
  • Ensuring that our Equal Opportunities Policy is easily accessible and well-publicized.
  • Accepting children from the term following their 4th birthday up to the end of primary school.
  • Requiring parents to complete a registration form for their children.
  • Allocating places on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Maintaining a waiting list once all available spots are filled.
  • Providing support and opportunities for children with special needs.
  • Monitoring admissions to prevent any unintentional discrimination.
  • Adjusting our operating hours to accommodate the needs of parents.
  • Collaborating with parents to meet the specific needs of each child.

Within our setting, we aim to create an environment that:

  • Promotes awareness and understanding of the differences and similarities among individuals.
  • Respects children and parents/carers for their unique identities and encourages mutual respect among children.
  • Involves regular communication with parents to ensure cultural needs are acknowledged and respected.
  • Ensures equal opportunities for all children at the club, addressing any identified barriers.
  • Reflects the diverse backgrounds, races, cultures, genders, abilities, and experiences of our children and their families.
  • Provides toys, books, and resources that depict positive images of individuals from various cultures and with differing abilities.
  • Celebrates festivals and cultural events to enhance awareness of different practices and customs.
  • Encourages children to respect and value one another while discouraging hurtful or unkind remarks.
  • Helps children understand that it is wrong to judge others based on differences.
  • Guarantees equal participation for all children in activities while actively discouraging gender stereotyping.

At PuliKidz, we believe that our inclusive approach enriches the experiences of all children, promoting respect and understanding in our community.
