Fire and First Aid Policy

  • Fire drills will be conducted at least twice a year, or more frequently as needed, with all activities documented appropriately.
  • We will conduct weekly checks of fire alarms to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • An external company will perform an annual inspection of all fire safety equipment, coordinated by the management.
  • All staff members are trained and knowledgeable about fire evacuation procedures and designated assembly points.
  • Fire exits must remain unobstructed at all times.
  • A fire blanket is readily available in the kitchen area.
  • Emergency lights, fire call points, and fire extinguishers will undergo daily, monthly, and weekly inspections, with records maintained in the Fire Safety Log.
  • A comprehensive fire risk assessment will be conducted in compliance with Fire Safety Regulations.
  • First Aid resources are available, with at least one staff member trained in First Aid on-site at all times.
  • Staff members are required to wear disposable gloves when responding to accidents or when changing a child.
  • All incidents must be documented in the accident logbook. After an incident has been explained, the child’s parent or caregiver will be asked to sign the logbook.
  • We encourage all staff to regularly update their First Aid qualifications and knowledge. PuliKidz will facilitate group training sessions whenever possible.
